Chuck Shermer Named MVTS Technologies’ VP of Business Development
Chuck Shermer has joined MVTS Technologies as Vice President of Business Development. “Chuck is a natural fit for this newly created position,” said Ron Maassen, CEO of MVTS. “He has played an instrumental role in developing relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and with more than 25 years in the semiconductor industry, Chuck has a deep understanding of the semiconductor capital business,” he continued. “MVTS is extremely well positioned in the market to service its growing customer base,” said Mr. Shermer, who is excited to be joining the company’s executive management team.
Mr. Shermer comes to MVTS from Amkor Technologies, where he was Senior Director of World Wide Procurement. There he managed all Amkor test-equipment procurement activities for its worldwide test operation, including a recent expansion by Amkor Singapore, to be the largest test operation with high-level asset management and program support to strategic customers. Mr. Shermer has also held key positions with Kuliche and Soffa Industries in field service management, application development, and corporate technical support. His test-business experience, and strong partnerships with leading Automated Testing Equipment (ATE) suppliers and their customer, will assist him in supporting key MVTS initiatives on a global scale.
