This controller replacement is for the Sun UltraSPARC II workstation for LTX Synchro series testers. The obsolete Sun UltraSPARC workstations interfacing TC2, TC1, or VME crate are no longer supported by LTX or Sun. This new SR5 NIC product bring the LTX Synchro workstation to current supportable technology.
The parts being replaced in this upgrade are:
The computer workstation
Workstation PCI based VME controller board
Tester computer VME interface board
Cabling from computer to tester
Firmware on the TC68030 processor board
The new workstation will continue to run LTX Synchro SR5.8.5 so no changes will be necessary to test programs.
